个人简介
Dr. Beevers' research focuses on the cognitive etiology and treatment of major unipolar depression. He uses experimental psychopathology methods to identify putative causal factors in the etiology of depression and translates these same methods into interventions. Dr. Beevers also leverages technology for the treatment of depression (e.g., Internet interventions) and data science to determine who is most likely to benefit from these interventions. Current projects use behavioral and eye-tracking methodologies to measure cognitive bias and smartphone methods to measure affect and behavior in its natural environment. He collaborates with numerous faculty and trainees at UT, nationally, and internationally. He is an award-winning teacher, as he received the Silver Spurs Centennial Teaching Fellowship (2018) and the Raymond Dickson Centennial Endowed Teaching Award (2017) from the University of Texas at Austin. He also occasionally boasts about himself in the third person on his faculty profile page.
