Research
Christine’s research focuses on methodologies for retrieving microphysical and dynamical properties of hydrometeors in the atmosphere using ground-based weather and cloud radar. Her main research themes are:
Rain microphysics: raindrop size distribution estimation.
Mixed-phased and liquid water cloud microphysics: particle size distribution retrieval, water and ice content.
Simulation of cloud and rain spectral polarimetric radar measurements at cm- and mm-wavelengths.
Horizontal and vertical wind estimation within precipitation and clouds.
Weather/cloud radar signal processing techniques.
