Christian Ulm

Christian Ulm completed his undergraduate education in medicine in 1988 and in dentistry in 1991 at the University of Vienna. He started working as a University Assistant at the Department of Oral Surgery (Dental School, University of Vienna), and in 1995 completed his postdoctoral thesis for qualification as a University Lecturer on the topic "Causes and Consequences of Atrophy of Edentulous Jawbones". From 2000 to 2012 he was the Vice-Head of the Department of Periodontology (University Clinic of Dentistry, Medical University of Vienna) and since 2012 he is appointed as Head of the Division of Oral Surgery (University Clinic of Dentistry, Medical University of Vienna). His special fields of interest are oral surgery, implantology, periodontology, maxillary sinus disorders, and histology of atrophic alveolar ridges. Christian Ulm is author and co-author of more than 90 original studies, 14 advanced training papers, and 8 book chapters and has received 11 scientific awards.
