Coviello Christian M

Christian M. Coviello (Member, IEEE) was born in Mountain Lake Park, MD, USA. He received the B.S. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering from Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA, USA, in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA, USA, in 2005, working under Prof. L. Sibul and Prof. N. K. Bose. From 2000 to 2005, he was a Graduate Research Assistant in the area of signal and array processing and numerical linear algebra with Applied Research Laboratory, The Pennsylvania State University. From 2005 to 2009, he was employed as a Senior Scientist with SAIC/Leidos, Advanced Systems & Technology Division, Arlington, VA, USA, where he remained as a Consultant until 2014. From 2009 to 2015, he was with Biomedical Ultrasonics, Biotherapy and Biopharmaceuticals Laboratory (BUBBL) Group, University of Oxford, Oxford, U.K. In 2014, he co-founded OxSonics Ltd., Oxford, where he currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer. His research interests include therapeutic ultrasound system design, the design of piezoelectric transducer arrays, cavitation mapping, and cavitation-enhanced drug delivery.
