个人简介
I am a molecular biologist turned plant physiologist analyzing strategies to improve legumes. Specifically, my work centers on enhancing alfalfa and soybean yields through different non-conventional approaches. We focus heavily on forage production in alfalfa by flowering repression, and on suppression of shade avoidance for alfalfa and soybean.
Our studies usually involve various molecular approaches (RNA seq, qPCR, cloning, gene editing) using both, Arabidopsis as model species for gene recognition, followed by in-depth physiological and biochemical research of our target legumes models. Lastly, we scale up our assays with help of agronomical partners for field trials.
