个人简介
Christian-Alexander Bunge (Member, IEEE) was born in Berlin, Germany, in 1973. He received the Dipl. Ing. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Technology Berlin (TU Berlin), Berlin, Germany, in 1999 and 2002, respectively. From 2002 to 2004, he was with the Polymer Optical Fiber Application Center (POF-AC), Nuremberg, Germany, where he was the Technical Director and responsible for fiber modeling and short-haul systems design. In 2004, he joined TU Berlin as a Senior Scientist. In 2009, he became a Professor for optical communication and measurement techniques with Deutsche Telekom’s University for Telecommunication, Leipzig, Germany. His main research interests right now are short-haul and access transmission techniques (fiber-bound and free space), application, characterization and fabrication of multimode glass and polymer optical fibers, which also includes optical sensing and modeling. He has authored and coauthored more than 50 scientific articles, well over 100 conference contributions and a dozen of patents. He also wrote several text books on optical transmission systems and polymer optical fibers.
