I am currently a postdoc at the Blurton-Jones lab (California), former PhD student at the Verfaillie lab and De Strooper lab (Belgium), and I am passionately curious and devoted to help find a cure for Alzheimer's Disease. I focus on how multiple AD risk factors affect the many functions of human microglia throughout aging and disease in hPSC-derived microglia models in vitro and in vivo after transplantation in humanized Alzheimer mouse models. I strongly believe such models will elucidate fundamental abnormalities and will enable us to uncover leads that can alter the diverse stages of neuroinflammation to ultimately nip Alzheimer's disease (and possibly other neurodegenerative diseases) in the bud!
