Chioma Assumpta Anosike

Dr Chioma A. Anosike is a senior lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry. She graduated from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1998, obtained her M.Sc in Pharmacological Biochemistry in 2004 and Ph.D in Nutritional and Pharmacological Biochemistry, University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2011. Responsibility: She teaches basic biochemistry courses; Protein and Carbohydrate Metabolism, Food and Membrane Biochemistry to undergraduate students. She also teaches courses in Advanced Metabolism, pharmacological, Nutritional and Industrial Biochemistry to post-graduate students. She equally supervises undergraduate final year research project, M.Sc dissertation and Ph.D thesis in Nutritional and Pharmacological biochemistry. Research Activities: Her research interests and activities are on plants used for human nutrition and their potential roles in the treatment and management of immunological and inflammatory diseases. She has published papers in several local and international journals
