2001: Degree in Biological Sciences at University of Pavia (IT); 2004-2008: post-lauream Degree in Medical Genetics at University of Milan (IT); 2010-2013: PhD in Experimental Pathology and Neuropathology at University of Milan (IT). Teaching: from October 2017 to February 2020 Adjunct Professor of Cytogenetics, University of Milan-Bicocca (IT). From 2004 to Jan 2007 research activity as a junior researcher in clinical genetics; main interest: Cri du Chat and Mowat-Wilson syndromes, genotype-phenotype correlation and natural history. From Feb 2007 to Dec 2019 Researcher at Laboratory of Medical Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics Lab, I.R.C.C.S. Istituto Auxologico Italiano. Main fields: molecular cytogenetics and cytogenomics. Using genome approaches (array CGH) the research has been addressed to elucidate the genetic etiology of common and rare complex disorders (e.g., autism spectrum disorders and primary ovarian failure) by the analysis of rare copy number variants, the annotation and prioritization of their gene content by using ad hoc bioinformatic tools, and the identification and validation of new candidate genes.
