My basic science research focuses on improving methods of risk estimation and target identification in prospective cohort studies of pediatric trauma. This work identifies biomarkers and mechanisms of health conditions from a multiple levels of analysis approach (e.g., biological, behavioral, environmental). My clinical trials research and active clinical practice therefore centers on the optimization of behavioral interventions by engaging identified targets and mechanisms more effectively.
