The goal of my research is to understand the impacts of gas emissions during explosive eruptions on climate and civilisations. I reconstruct past eruptions with an interdisciplinary approach that involves magma geochemistry, petrology, physical volcanology, tephrostratigraphy, climatology and archaeology.
