Ingrid Cecile Djuikoue

I am a clinical biologist, academician, and researcher, with a PhD in Infectious Dis-eases (Bacteriology). I am Program Coordinator for the Master's degree in Public Health program at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University des Montagnes, Cameroon, and am the Young Ambassador to Cameroon for the America Society of Microbiology (ASM). I helped develop curriculum modules on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antibiotic steward-ship, diagnosis of resistance mechanism, and prevention and control, funded by OHCEA, formerly AFROHUN (Africa One Health University). My research themes include: microbi-al ecology and AMR in human and animal ecosystems; "One Health" approaches to antimi-crobial stewardship; nosocomial infections and their prevention and control; prevention of emerging pathogens and AMR in communities; and Clostridium difficile. In the process of combatting AMR I have worked with multiple international organi-zations, including FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization, in Cameroon), USAID (United States Agency for International Development, in USA), AFROHUM (in Cameroon), and the National Laboratory of Public Health (Cameroon). I am knowledgeable about COVID-19; am part of the One Health Work Force project (USAID) for AMR awareness and educational outreach, research, and capacity strengthening; and am a member of the International Net-work Project on E. coli resistance surveillance in humans, animals, and the environment. I have expertise in nosocomial infections and zoonotic diseases. I have organized training seminars on biosecurity and biosafety. I belong to several professional societies, have men-tored over 20 students, and serve as a consultant to bacteriology laboratories in the mainte-nance of quality and adherence to performance standards.
