Cassius Aruho

Currently, I work with National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO)-At the National Fisheries Resources Research Institute (NaFIRRI). I have a working experience of up to 23 years in Fisheries work and I have worked in a number of organizations with and in various positions including administrative level. I have extensive knowledge in Fisheries and Aquatic science, extensive practical knowledge in training both students and farmers, generating appropriate technologies and disseminating them. Through training and experience I have gained competence in Agriculture extension services, educational training and project management and scientific research. I started undertaking active Research during my MSc. Study in 2007 and continued until I joined NaFIRRI Research institution in 2009. In research I have been focusing on a number of aspects ranging from fish nutrition, value addition & marketing, endocrinology and breeding aspects, farm management aspects of fish, gear technology, statistics and genetics among others. I'm good at community organizational skills, I tend to be perfectionist and I cherish efficient use of time and other resources. My greatest strength is my desire to discover new ways of doing things, a reason why I like research and management work.
