Carolina Barata

Carolina Barata holds a degree in Art Conservation and Restoration, a postgraduate degree in Art Expertise, a Master in Applied Chemistry and a PhD in Geosciences. Her professional career started in 1996, in the field of conservation and restoration of easel painting, wood carving and sculpture, in several private workshops. She also joined projects in photography collections conservation, such as the one in the Photography Archive of the Municipality of Lisbon in 2001. From 2002 to 2006 she has been a professional trainer in Conservation. From 2005 to 2018 she has been a lecturer in the Conservation field at the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University. She is a member CITAR (Catholic University) and GeoBioTec (Univ. of Aveiro) Research Centers. She is PI of ARCAer Project.
