Carmen Navarrete

Carmen María Navarrete obtained her PhD at the Department of Cellular Biology, Physiology, and Immunology, University of Córdoba, Spain. (2009). She was working in pharmacology and neuroimmunology, as well as in the anti-inflammatory effects of endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids on the central nervous system. She has a broad background in neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases with specific training and expertise in in vitro and in vivo techniques to develop preclinical studies. During her PhD studies and as senior researcher she laid the base for the preclinical development of new chemical entities. In 2009 she joined the team at Emerald Health Biotechnology Spain where she worked until 2018. She is currently Senior Researcher in Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals.
