Carmelo Sferrazza

Carmelo Sferrazza (S’17) received the B.Eng. degree in electronics and information engineering from Tongji University, Shanghai, China, the B.Sc. degree in automation engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2014, and the M.Sc. degree in robotics, systems, and control from ETH Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, in 2016, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Institute for Dynamic Systems and Control. His current research interests include the design and the development of vision-based, data-driven tactile sensors, and learning-based model predictive control. He received the ETEL Award for his master’s thesis on model predictive control of an unmanned aerial vehicle.
