Carlos Guillermo G DE Castro

Electronic technician with more than ten years of experience in the field of scientific instrumentation dedicated to radio astronomy, and recently appointed as head of the observatory department of the Argentine Institute of Radio astronomy. Among its fields of knowledge is the development of electronic instruments, development of radio frequency systems (Front-Ends), development of digital systems (Back-Ends), as well the integration of systems and their functional verification. He also has experience working at international collaboration projects that have led him to work and be trained in institutions such as NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in California, USA, and the NETHERLANDS RESEARCH SCHOOL FOR ASTRONOMY, where he received training in sub/millimeter receivers use and development as well in the use of digital spectrometers and frequency down converter modules. His last project involves the design and integration of a digital back-end for timing of pulsars as a collaboration with the NanoGrav project and the Rochester Institute of Technology, EEUU.
