Carlos Godinez-Seoane

Dr. Carlos Godinez Seoane holds a PhD in Chemistry since 1993. He has published than 40 papers and filed 8 patents. Associate Professor since 2003 with more than 20 years of lecturing experience at university level (both undergraduate and graduate levels). He has participated in numerous research projects funded by both companies and public institutions, his areas of interest being the design of chemical reactors, polymerization processes and the generation of energy from biomass. As a result, he has supervised or co-supervised 4 Doctoral Thesis. He has been a Research Associate at the University of California, Davis (United States) and at the University of Newcastle (United Kingdom). Over the course of 9 years Dr. Godinez also held several technical and managerial positions in two of the major petrochemical companies (General Electric and SABIC) where he was instrumental in their R&D and manufacturing departments of several sites all around the globe (Spain, The Netherlands, Japan and Saudi Arabia). Also, he is or has been a consultant for several other companies in the chemical sector (Takasago, Técnicas Reunidas, Shell) as well as collaborator of the National Center for Training and Employment in Chemistry (SEF). In the 2016-2020 period he was also Vice-Dean for International Relations and Mobility of the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Cartagena.
