Carla Julia Vieira

Carla Julia Vieira has worked on the detection of a number of poorly known arboviruses, including Mayaro, Oropouche, Saint Louis Encephalitis, and Ilheus, in human and mosquito samples from urban and forest landscapes. Currently, she is a PhD candidate on a QIMR Berghofer International Scholarship based in the Mosquito Control Laboratory and registered at QUT. She is working on the eco-epidemiological characterization of Ross River virus in South East Queensland.
