Candice Brown is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association, a Boston based-actor, director, and voice and dialect coach. Regionally, Brown has performed with Gamm Theatre, Lyric Stage Company, Cape Rep Theatre, Actors’ Shakespeare Project, New York Theatre Workshop, American Repertory Theater, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Bristol Valley Theatre Company, and Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival. In addition, Brown has directed several productions for the Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Brandeis University, including the Boston premiere of Theory of Relativity in 2017. Brown joined the The Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2004 and is an associate professor of theater. She teaches acting for undergraduate contemporary dance; and acting, directing, and voice, and speech in musical theatre as well as acting for the Musical Theater Dance Intensive summer program. Prior to the Conservatory, Brown taught at Wheaton College, Brandeis University's M.F.A. acting training program, and Wheaton College. Brown earned tenure at the State University of New York at Fredonia, where she taught voice, movement, scene study and directed productions over five seasons. She is the owner and operator of VoiceWorks in Milton, Massachusetts, and coaches acting and voice privately in and around the Boston and New York area.
