The Campusano Lab intends to advance our understanding on the cellular and molecular events underlying behaviours and how they are altered in neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases. We are particularly interested in evaluating the contribution of dopamine and serotonin to these problems.
We use as animal model the fly Drosophila melanogaster.
We perform several behavioural assays and biochemistry techniques, but we are specially proud of developing new neurochemical approaches.
