Biography Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia I completed an Honours Degree in Nanotechnology at Flinders University in 2007. I obtained my PhD in 2011, also at Flinders University, working with Prof. J. Shapter on the fabrication of surface bound carbon nanotube materials for application in water purification, cell proliferation and field emission. In early 2012 I joined the group of Prof. Dr. Eder in the University of Muenster as a postdoctoral research associate working on the fabrication of complex hybrids consisting of graphene or carbon nanotubes and metal oxides (ZnO, Ta2O5, TiO2) for energy conversion. In April 2014 I returned to Flinders University to undertake a postdoctoral research position on nanoelectrochemistry with AFM and an industrial collaboration with PMB Defence Engineering. From 2015-2017 I was an ARC funded postdoctoral Research Associate at Flinders University working on improving solar cell performace with carbon nanotubes. From 2018 to present I have been a Strategic Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide. My current research projects are based upon improving photocatalysis for hydrogen production and pollutant degradation.
