Senior Lecturer in Chemistry Course Director, Faculty of Science I completed my education in France, Ireland and England where I received a BSc(Analytical Chemistry major) and a MSc(Organic & Analytical Chemistry). Keen for more travel, I undertook my PhD as a Co-tutelle Program between AgroParisTech (France) and the National Wine and Grape Industry Centre at Charles Sturt University (CSU, Australia), applying my knowledge in organic and analytical chemistry to understanding oxidation processes in white wine. I have since called Australia home, as a staff member of the School of Agricultural and Wine Sciences at CSU since 2009. My teaching and research activities make use of my expertise in organic and analytical chemistry, as applied to current issues in the food, and grape and wine industries. A key theme of my research is the use and development of analytical tools targeted to grape and wine composition, as well as the study of antioxidants and oxidation processes in wine and lipid products. My research projects range from the understanding of fundamental processes (working on model wine or in vine controlled-chamber environment) to their application to real situations (screening commercial wines or implementing vineyard canopy management practices).
