Burhanuddin Yeop Majlis (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in physics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1979, the M.Sc. degree in microelectronics from the University of Wales, U.K., in 1980, and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics from the University of Durham, U.K., in 1988. He is currently a Professor of microelectronics with the Faculty of Engineering, UKM, where he is the Founding Director at the Institute of Microengineering and Nanoelectronics. He has published four textbooks in electronics and one book on integrated circuits fabrication technology for undergraduate courses and more than 400 academic research papers.
