Brock Anton Stenfors

Felix Ngassa holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from the Seidman College of Business. Currently he is a tenured Full Professor of chemistry at Grand Valley State University, Michigan. He has taught organic chemistry lectures and labs for many years and has won several teaching and research awards including: Professor of the Year (2007), the Pan-Hellenic Association Excellence in Teaching (2008), the GVSU Alumni Association Outstanding Educator Award (2011), the GVSU Center for scholarly and Creative Excellence (CSCE) Outstanding Undergraduate Mentoring Award (2012), and the GVSU CLAS Annual Faculty Service Award (2016). Dr. Ngassa is also active in service work in his discipline, university and community. Notable service roles include the following: Chair of the University Academic Senate and the Executive Committee of the Senate for the past four years, 2017-2021; College Board Advanced Placement Chemistry Reading; Event Supervisor for the Science Olympiad Regional Tournament.
