I lead an interdisciplinary research group and we work closely with our clinical colleagues. This cooperation gives us the opportunity to identify problems in orthopedics and trauma surgery and to work on new solution strategies. Based on in vitro studies on different cell types and different animal models, we continue to research different approaches to influencing bone healing, treating infections and understanding tendon degeneration and repair processes.
