Our work focuses on the interaction between viruses and the immune system and has advanced our understanding of the virus-host interaction. Appointed to Professor of Viral Immunology in 2008, I endeavour to combine fundamental research with teaching immunology to veterinary students. Interests include novel approaches to measuring humoral immunity in humans, livestock and wildlife; mapping determinants of cross-neutralisation; and assessing the seroprevalence of zoonotic viruses in Africa.
