Hogan Brian

Dr Brian Hogan is a Consultant Hepatologist with interests in all aspects of liver disease (including abnormal liver function tests, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, fibrosis and Fibroscan). He qualified from University College London Medical School in 2004 and completed specialist training in Critical Care Medicine, Hepatology and Liver Transplant at The Royal Free Hospital, King's College Hospital, Imperial College and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London. Dr Hogan joined the Institute of Liver Studies at King's College Hospital as a consultant in 2018, before moving to the Royal Free London in 2022. He works on the Liver Intensive Care Unit and specialises in critical care for patients with liver disease, especially those with cirrhosis and portal hypertension. His research at University College London (UCL) was focused on novel methods of assessing portal hypertension in patients with severe liver disease. He continues to have a clinical and research interest in vascular liver disease and portal hypertension.
