Boris V. Sokolov

Boris Sokolov (M’17) graduated from A. F. Mozaisky Academy, Leningrad, in 1974, and received the Dr.Sc.Eng. degree in 1993. He is the Deputy Director and Head of the Laboratory for Information Technologies in Systems Analysis and Modeling, St. Petersburg Institute of Informatics and Automation, Russian Academy of Science, St. Petersburg, Russia. He is a Professor, Dr.Tech.Sci., honored Scientist, and Laureate of the Russian government in the field of science and technology. He has published more than 400 scientific papers, more than 50 research and engineering projects, and five scientific and teaching books. His research interests include basic and applied research in integrated modeling, multicriteria optimization under uncertainties, reliability theory, mathematical models, and methods of decision-making support in complex technical-organizational systems on the base of integrated using of ground-space data.
