Boris G Vainer

Boris G. Vainer, born on March 21, 1953 in Khabarovsk, Russia. In 1975, he graduated from the Novosibirsk State University, Physical Department. PhD in physics and mathematics (1985), Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (2010). Since 1976, he has been working at the Rzhanov Institute of Semiconductor Physics SB RAS, principal research scientist. Since 1990, he lectures at the Specialized Educational Scientific Center of the Novosibirsk State University on general physics, professor (2011). Laureate of the All-Russian Competition of Teachers (2009, 2015). He also delivers the lectures on IR detectors and thermography. He published more than 200 works (8 scientific monographs) and 3 textbooks on physics for schoolchildren and students. About 150 publications are devoted to the IR thermography studies.
