Bo-Hun Choi

Bo-Hun Choi was born in Busan, Korea, in 1967. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from Pusan National University, Pusan, Korea, in 1992 and 1994, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Information and Communications University (ICU), Daejeon, Korea, in 2001. He was with Hyundai Electronics, where he was an Engineer in the Photonics Device Lab from 1994 to 1995. He also worked for Samsung Electronics, where he was an Assistant Manager of the Optical Communications R&D Group from 1996 to 1998. He is currently a Research Fellow in the Photonics Research Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, The University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Vic., Australia. His research interests are optical fiber amplifiers, WDM optical transmission systems, and the optical Internet.
