Ábner Magalhães Nunes

Abner Nunes is a pharmacist graduated (2015) from the Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Brazil). During his graduation, he developed works in synthesis of metal nanoparticles. In 2017, Abner Nunes obtained the Master degree from the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências Farmacêuticas in the Universidade Federal de Alagoas (Brazil) where he evaluated the effect of gold nanorods in mitochondrial bioenergetics under supervision of Dr. Mario Roberto Meneghetti and Ana Catarina Rezende Leite. Abner Nunes has finished a PhD in Chemistry on the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Química e Biotecnologia (Brazil) / University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US) developing research about the effect of gold nanoparticles in cell and organelles (mitochondria and extracellular vesicles)(2022). Currently, Abner Nunes is a postdoctoral researcher at Auburn University studying the molecular toxicology mechanisms of nanoparticles.
