Dr. Blake Alkire is a general otolaryngologist at Mass. Eye and Ear, Longwood, who specializes in comprehensive adult and pediatric otolaryngology and sinus disease. Dr. Alkire provides care to adult and pediatric patients for all ear, nose, and throat conditions. His clinical interests include acute and chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, hearing loss, and voice disorders (hoarseness).
Given his interests in global health initiatives, he also works with the Program in Global Surgery at Harvard Medical School. His research interests include developing economic models to understand the costs and benefits of expanding surgical capacity in low- and middle-income countries.
