Reyes Bersain A

Bersain A. Reyes (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. and M.S. (Hons.) degrees in biomedical engineering (BME) from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Mexico City, Mexico, in 2006 and 2010, respectively, and the joint Ph.D. degree in BME from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), USA, and the University of Connecticut (UConn), USA, in 2015. He was a Teaching Assistant and a Research Assistant at WPI from 2011 to 2014 and a Graduate Research Assistant at UConn from 2014 to 2015. He was a full-time Professor at UAM in 2016. In 2017, he joined the National System of Researchers, National Council of Science and Technology (CONACyT), Mexico, with the level I, which he maintains to date. Since 2017, he has been a full-time Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosi (UASLP), Mexico, supporting the undergraduate program in BME and the graduate programs in electronic engineering and life sciences. His current research interests include time-variant spectral analysis of biomedical signals, as well as the development of mobile health applications that take advantage of acoustic and optical sensors available on smartphones. He has been a Guest Editor of the Sensors (MDPI) and Electronic (MDPI) journals.
