His current research focuses on semiconductor spintronics,including electrical spin injection and transport in semiconductors, and the fabrication and development of prototype spintronic devices. His work also addresses the epitaxial growth and study of ferromagnetic semiconductors, a class of materials which combine both ferromagnetic and semiconducting properties with the potential for new device functionality.
