Singa Benson O

Benson Singa, MBChB, MPH is a research scientist at the Kenya Medical Research Institute, Centre for Clinical Research at the Reproductive Health Research Unit. I have been a close collaborator on a number of studies of helminth, malaria, STI and HIV co-infection over the past several years and served as a principal investigator, a co-investigator and a medical coordinator on these studies. My background interest in tropical medicine and especially immune modulation and interaction between tropical diseases and HIV. I have been involved in studies on current emerging issues and progress in this field especially given the continuing concern of barely contained tropical diseases and HIV infection around the globe. Currently, I am involved in evaluating ongoing programs in a bid to improve the preventive programs being implemented in the healthcare set up.
