Benjamin S. Riggan (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in computer engineering from North Carolina State University in 2009, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from N.C. State University in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL). Prior to joining the faculty at UNL, he was a Research Scientist with the Networked Sensing and Fusion Branch, U.S. Army Research Laboratory. His research interests are in the areas of computer vision, image and signal processing, and biometrics/forensics, especially related to domain adaptation, multi-modal analytics, and machine learning. After finishing the Ph.D. degree, he was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at ARL’s Image Processing Branch. He has received three best papers awards, such as IEEE WACV 2016, BTAS 2016, and WACV 2018 and currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems.
