Benedictus C. Schoot

Benedictus C. Schoot received the M.Sc. degree in medicine from Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and a certification of competence in fetal medicine from the Fetal Medicine Foundation, King’s College Hospital, London, U.K. He was a Gynecologist with Westeinde Ziekenhuis, The Hague, The Netherlands, and Erasmus University Rotterdam, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He settled as a Gynecologist with Catharina Ziekenhuis, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he was focusing on endoscopic surgery and infertility. Since 2012, he started research cooperation with the Eindhoven University of Technology, Eindhoven, where he was involved in uterine dynamics. He was appointed as a Professor with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Ghent, Ghent, Belgium, in 2015. He has authored or coauthored 56 peer-reviewed scientific articles. His Ph.D. thesis was on follicular dynamics and follicle stimulating hormones.
