Bastien Mennecart

I am a vertebrate palaeontologist, specialized in mammals from Eurasia (from Eocene to Early Miocene). I have done my PhD in Switzerland on early evolution of the ruminants in Europe based on biostratigraphy and ecology. These animals are quite funny in being sabre-toothed. Nowadays, I am studying the connexions between Asia and Europe during 2 major crises: Grande-Coupure & Microbunodon Event. 3D analyses based on inner morphology and Geometric Morphometrics are also used for their ecology.
