Barnabas Daru currently works in Harvard University. He is an evolutionary ecologist, who combines ecological data and molecular phylogenetics to understand the evolutionary and ecological forces that generate, distribute, and maintain biodiversity across space and time, bearing in mind how this understanding can guide conservation decisions at local, regional and global scales. Key focal areas include community ecology, distribution modelling, species introductions and extirpations, biodiversity and global climate change, and conservation.
