Barbara Nicolas

Barbara Nicolas (Member, IEEE) graduated from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Ingenieurs Electriciens de Grenoble, Grenoble, France, in 2001. She received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in signal processing from Grenoble-INP, Grenoble, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. From 2006 to 2014, she was a CNRS Researcher at the Image Signal Department, GIPSA-Laboratory, Grenoble. In 2008, she was a Visiting Scientist at the Signal Processing Laboratory (SipLab), Faro, Portugal. Since 2014, she has been a CNRS Researcher at the Creatis Laboratory, Lyon, France. In 2020, she was a Visiting Scientist with Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh, U.K. Her research interests include signal processing in medical ultrasound imaging and underwater acoustics, including beamforming, cavitation imaging, acoustic tomography, and time–frequency representations.
