个人简介
I am a Professor in the Department of Materials Science at the University of Madras. My academic background includes a B.Sc. in Physics, an M.Sc. in Physics, an M.Phil in Crystal Science, and a Ph.D. in Physics. I completed part of my Ph.D. at Grenoble Institute of Technology, Simap-CNRS Lab in France, where I focused on wide bandgap semiconductors for deep ultraviolet-LEDs as a European Union Erasmus Ph.D. Exchange Fellow. My Ph.D. thesis was titled 'Heteroepitaxial growth of III-nitride semiconductors using MOVPE and HVPE for electronics and optoelectronic devices'. Following this, I was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials at KTH-Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, where I worked on III-V Semiconductor Heterostructures for Quantum Cascade Lasers. I have published 44 articles in international journals and presented papers at various national and international conferences. I have also organized and participated in 38 workshops and seminars. My areas of expertise include Wide Bandgap Semiconductors (WBS), Epitaxial Growth of WBS and Nanostructures for Opto-Electronic and Electronic Devices, Fabrication of gas sensors based on semiconductor nanostructures and 2-dimensional materials, Photocatalytic dye degradation and water splitting, Orientation patterned (OP) non-linear materials for quantum photonics, and High resolution x-ray diffraction reciprocal space mapping for non-destructive studies on OP structures.
