Athanasios Bachoumis

Athanasios Bachoumis received the diploma degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 2015, and the MSc degree in industrial engineering and management from the University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands, in 2018. He is currently working toward the PhD degree in electrical engineering at the University of Patras, Patras, Greece, since 2020, in the research area of transactive energy environments and local energy communities. In the past, he has been involved in European Horizon 2020 projects regarding smart grids and flexibility markets on behalf of the R&D Department, IPTO, the Greek TSO. He is also working as an energy research associate with Ubitech Energy, Belgium.
