April Khademi (S'04–M'10–S'11) received the Bachelor's of Engineering (EE) and the Master's of Applied Science (EE) degrees both from Ryerson University in 2004 and 2006, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree (EE) from the University of Toronto in 2012. Her research expertise focuses on the design and development of algorithms that automatically process and analyze medical images (MRI, histopathology, retinal, small bowel, mammogram). Dr. Khademi received several awards including the Governor General.s Gold Medal and NSERC CGS-D3, which are the highest possible awards on a university- and federal government-level. She is currently working at GE Healthcare as Algorithm Development Specialist.
