Apostolos G. Christopoulos is a Professor of Applied Economics and Finance at the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean and a Visiting Professor at the Department of Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an M.Sc. in Banking and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, an M.A. in Communications Policy Studies from the City University of London and a B.Sc. in Economics from the National and Kapodistian University. For over 20 years he is teaching modules in Economics, Banking and Finance in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University of the Aegean, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the National Technical University of Athens, the University of the West Attica, the Hellenic Open University and the Open University of Cyprus. His research work covers the areas of risk, prediction of corporate failure, banking and regulation. He is He is a referee in academic journals and also Co-Editor in Chief of the “International Journal of Corporate Finance and Accounting (IJCFA) - IGI” and Guest Editor in several Journals. His work has published in academic journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance, The Economics of Transition, Multinational Finance Journal, Operational Research an International Journal, EuroMed Journal of Business, Energies etc.
