I am a plant molecular biochemist with broad interests in the principles of genetics, cell biology and stress physiology and 10+ years of experience in formulating, troubleshooting, and managing interdisciplinary projects. My research interests are in the area of translational control mechanisms (regulation of protein synthesis) under xenobiotic, abiotic and biotic stress. In addition, I am interested in developing new technologies for plant phenotyping, setting intellectual property initiatives, and developing new teaching tools for customizing undergraduate student learning/assessment.
