Anne E. Trefethen

Anne Trefethen is a chief information officer, professor of scientific computing and associate director of the e-Research Centre at Oxford University. Her career has spanned both industry and academia, including 10 years in the USA, where she worked for Thinking Machines Corp and at the Theory Centre, Cornell University. Before coming to Oxford, she was a director of the UK e-Science Core Programme and was VP for Research and Development at NAG Ltd. Her work has focused on high-performance computing and data intensive science and particularly on algorithms and software systems.
