I am an interdisciplinary Environmental Biologist linking plant physiology with landscape ecology to research impacts of disturbances and our warming climate on population dynamics, ecosystem service provisions, greenhouse gas cycling and biodiversity. I am particularly intrigued by the trade-offs between carbon sequestration and water loss, interactions between parasitic plants and their hosts, and how droughts and heatwaves influence the flammability of Australian ecosystems.
