I pursue two research interests in psychiatric care research: On the one hand, the projects aim to expand and improve the community-based, recovery-oriented care of people with mental illnesses by professionals as well as by peers. On the other hand, the projects aim to improve the somatic care of people with mental illnesses by means of integrated care approaches that take greater account of lifestyle-related risk factors, such as eating habits. The research projects cover a very broad spectrum of methods, which covers the field of health care research and implementation science next to clinical research methodology. All projects are characterized by interdisciplinary project groups, whereby principally different perspectives (patients, relatives, professionals) are taken into account.
