My research focusses on the inflammatory and non-inflammatory biomarkers (such as carotid intima-media thickness, vascular stiffness) and cardiovascular risk factors, atherosclerosis progression, and adverse cardiovascular events; the associations of the serum biomarkers (microRNAs, cytokines) with cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. Further scientific interests include the impact of pharmacological and endovascular interventions in patients with coronary and extra cororonary disease.
